What You Will Do:

As a Billing Specialist, your primary objective is to manage and oversee the billing process for multiple revenue streams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with billing policies and procedures. You will review and calculate billing amounts, assist with invoice generation, communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve billing-related issues, and oversee a team of billing associates. Your role is essential in maintaining billing accuracy, optimizing processes, and providing exceptional customer service to support the organization's financial operations.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

  • Billing Management: Oversee and manage the end-to-end billing process for multiple revenue streams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with billing policies and procedures.
  • Billing Calculations: Review complex billing amounts based on contractual agreements, service usage, pricing structures, and other relevant factors, ensuring accuracy and consistency in billing calculations.
  • Invoice Preparations: Own the process of uploading invoice details accurately and efficiently in our US-based system, adhering to billing schedules and customer requirements, and ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Customer Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for billing inquiries and escalations from internal stakeholders and external customers, providing timely and accurate responses and resolving billing-related issues effectively.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze billing reports, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor billing performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for process improvements and optimization.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline billing processes, enhance efficiency, and improve controls through automation, system enhancements, or procedural changes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor Billing team members, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to foster a high-performing team.

What You Bring:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related role, preferably in a complex billing environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory/management role
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English effectively.
  • Must have strong spreadsheet skills in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical skills.
  • Organized and methodical with the ability to manage their own workload and prioritize effectively.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in using billing software or ERP systems (Quickbooks).
  • Knowledge of industry-specific billing practices and regulations (e.g., Marketing, Technology / SaaS resell).
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives, including automation and optimization of billing processes.
