Middle QA Manual Engineer (Android)

BLD Soft is looking for Middle QA Manual Engineer (Android) to work in the office on own line of products for IPTV/OTT.

What you will do:

• Test applications on real devices (company provides a wide range of test devices: Android phones, tablets, TVs, and STBs);

• Analyze and read logs using tools such as Android Studio and Charles;

• Perform pixel-perfect UI testing on Android devices;

• Work with cookies, localStorage, and sessionStorage;

• Work with Firebase tools (Crashlytics, Remote Configs);

• Conduct white-box testing (Android);

• Build application builds from different branches (requires solid knowledge of Git and branching strategies);

• Perform component, integration, and regression testing;

• Interact with APIs (Postman, Swagger);

• Work with databases (DBeaver, MySQL) to validate Android client responses;

• Design test cases and prepare test documentation: create/review test plans, define test strategies, and prepare test data;

• Generate test reports and track quality metrics;

• Estimate tasks and release timelines;

• Analyze and test application requirements;

• Participate in project requirement discussions;

• Support developers in testing new features across various environments (in collaboration with BA, PO, QA, UI/UX);

• Use written English (A2+) to create bug reports, tasks, and test documentation;

• Demonstrate good communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.

What additional skills will help you stand out?:

• 3+ years of experience in performance, UI, and mobile manual testing;

• Experience with mobile test automation;

• Understanding of the basic structure of Android projects;

• Experience analyzing and testing user behavior with analytics tools;

• Familiarity with test management systems like Qase.io;

• Ability to independently investigate and determine the root causes of bugs;

• Ownership of QA expertise for your platform/project;

• Practical application of test design techniques;

• Experience in localization and internationalization testing;

• Experience testing payment systems (Gr4vy, Authorize.net, PayPal);

• API testing experience (REST);

• Experience with CI tools (GitLab, GitHub);

• Basic knowledge of Linux;

• Understanding of microservices architecture;

• Experience with Feature Flags testing;

• Deep understanding of the development lifecycle;

• Appreciation of Agile principles and self-organization.
