Data/Business Analyst

Role (What you’ll do)

• Own stakeholder discovery: meet with partners and business owners, capture requirements, define KPIs (utilization, realization, collections, matter cycle time, client/matter profitability).

• Assess the current data landscape: inventory sources (billing, CRM, Google Sheets), define sources of truth, and improve data quality.

• Build the foundation: co‑design a scalable data lake/warehouse on AWS + BigQuery with our software engineers; establish semantic models and data contracts.

• Deliver insight fast: create executive dashboards in Looker Studio and structured intake/ops workflows in Google Sheets; produce concise recommendations with clear ROI.

• Prepare for AI agents: document business terms and joins so natural‑language‑to‑SQL can answer securely and accurately.

What you bring

• Track record of direct executive/stakeholder engagement and turning requirements into shipped analytics products.

• Strong SQL and data modeling; comfort with BigQuery (or similar) and modern ELT/ETL.

• Practical BI skills (Looker Studio preferred; Tableau/Power BI welcome).

• Familiarity with AWS and collaborative work in Google Workspace; scripting in Python or .NET is a plus.

• Clear communication (B2/C1 English) and a bias for business impact, including sensitivity to legal confidentiality and trust‑accounting norms.
