We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join the team immediately.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting:
- Assist in developing and maintaining financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Work closely with department heads to gather financial data and create accurate financial forecasts.
- Help drive the annual budgeting process and monitor budget adherence throughout the year.
2. Variance Analysis:
- Perform monthly and quarterly analysis of financial results, comparing actuals against forecasts and budgets.
- Investigate key variances and collaborate with teams to develop action plans for improvement.
3. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular financial reports and dashboards for senior management, providing insights into key financial metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain internal management reports, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet analyses.
4. Data Analysis & Scenario Modelling:
- Conduct financial analyses, including sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling, to evaluate the impact of business decisions.
- Provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
5. Performance Tracking:
- Track financial performance against key benchmarks and KPIs, ensuring the company meets its financial goals.
- Collaborate with different departments to monitor their financial performance and support corrective actions.
6. Ad-Hoc Analysis:
- Support various teams with ad-hoc financial analysis, including capital expenditure analysis, project financials, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Respond to queries from executives on financial matters.
7. Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement efficiency improvements.
- Support the implementation of financial software and systems improvements.
Key Skills:
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excel & Financial Modelling: Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, financial modelling, and forecasting techniques.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles and how they apply to the overall business strategy.
- Technical Skills: Experience with financial planning systems (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced financial certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
2. Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance.
- Experience in a relevant industry (e.g., technology, healthcare, telecommunications) is preferred but not required.
3. Software Proficiency:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Experience with financial reporting and budgeting software is often preferred.
4. Competencies:
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
