A custom software development company Digiteum is looking for a Data Backend Engineer to join an exciting project for a global leader in human language technology and the primary provider of high-quality lexical data used by academics, technologists, and businesses worldwide.

What will you be helping us with?

You will work on projects that bring complex language data to life. Your main focus will be on data transformation, structure, and consistency, including:

• Working with large, complex, and multilingual datasets

• Analyzing data structures and relationships between linguistic elements to ensure data consistency

• Working with and maintaining data conversion pipelines for lexical data

• Parsing, transforming, and validating structured and semi-structured data (XML, JSON, CSV, TXT, PDF)

• Converting XML and other structured data formats into dictionary and language data

• Documenting data structures, modules, and data flows

Must have

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis and backend development using C# and .NET

• Strong understanding of technologies and data processing concepts

• Strong experience with XML, JSON, PDF, and CSV data formats

• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, modules, and data exchange

• Experience in analyzing and transforming complex datasets

• Understanding of text processing and parsing logic (e.g., Regex)

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proactive mindset and the ability to dig deeper into topics

• English level B2+ (you will work in an international environment)

Good to have

• Experience in .NET Framework (4.x) / .NET 10

• Hands-on experience building or maintaining data conversion pipelines

• Familiarity with CLI tools and automation scripts

• Knowledge of Python (for data analysis or automation)

• Comfortable working with databases and REST APIs

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)

• Experience with Bash / PowerShell scripting

• Understanding of text processing algorithms

• Working knowledge of multilingual data
