Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (Node.js/TypeScript) to enhance a microservices integration layer, improving reliability, performance, and scalability of a growing digital platform.

The customer is an established organization operating in the digital services domain. It develops technology-enabled solutions designed to support secure and efficient online interactions for both individual and business users. The company focuses on reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement while contributing to the evolution of modern digital ecosystems.

The project is focused on enhancing the backend architecture that acts as the core integration layer for all microservices within the system. The goal is to improve reliability, performance, and scalability, enabling sustainable growth, onboarding new clients, and increased product revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and maintaining scalable backend systems aligned with architectural best practices.
• Ensuring efficient data management, performance optimization, and system reliability.
• Developing and supporting distributed and event-driven solutions for complex environments.
• Maintaining high code quality standards and system observability.
• Contributing to architectural decisions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Must-haves:

• Experience in backend development for 3+ years
• Experience with Node.js/TypeScript stack for 3+ years.
• Strong experience with TypeScript (strict types, generics, utility types).
• Experience with NestJS, Express, Fastify, or Koa.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience in asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await).
• Experience in event-driven programming and concurrency handling.
• Knowledge of functional programming concepts (higher-order functions, immutability).
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and SOLID principles.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable, distributed backend systems.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture.
• Understanding of monolithic vs. microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Hexagonal (Ports & Adapters) Architecture.
• Experience with event-driven patterns and messaging queues.
• Understanding of data consistency models (ACID vs. BASE).
• Knowledge of observability best practices (logging, tracing, metrics).
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
